Optimised for high-throughput retail checkouts, the Datalogic Magellan™ 9600i barcode scanner-only model delivers industry-leading scanning performance with AI-ready infrastructure. This version features a medium All-Weighs™ scale platter, a fixed produce rail, and a shelf mount design, making it ideal for grocery, supermarket, and high-volume retail environments.

Powered by QuadVision™, the scanner boasts four high-resolution cameras (two horizontal, two vertical), and an IMX8 multi-core processor, enabling ultra-fast decoding of even damaged or poorly printed barcodes. Its forward-compatible platform supports GS1 Digital Link, Digimarc®, 1D and 2D codes, and integrates seamlessly with Windows, Android, Linux, and IBM 4690 POS systems.

With ScaleSentry™ technology, this device prevents shrink at checkout by using infrared beams to detect mispositioned produce and alert cashiers before incorrect weights are sent to the POS. The All-Weighs™ platter allows weighing on top of the bonnet, accommodating large or irregularly shaped items.

This SKU includes a USB Powered-Over-Terminal (POT) cable, reducing cable clutter and simplifying installation. It also supports future add-ons like neural processors, coral TPUs, and colour cameras for AI-based item recognition, loss prevention, and shopper analytics.
