The Datalogic Magellan™ 9600i is a next-generation AI-ready in-counter barcode scanner, purpose-built for the UK's high-volume retail and grocery environments. Featuring a USB Enhanced Power interface, medium All-Weighs™ platter, and flip-up produce rail, this scanner-only model offers advanced speed, accuracy, and scalability for assisted or self-checkout lanes.

Powered by QuadVision™ technology and a multi-core IMX8 processor, it utilises four high-resolution cameras (two vertical, two horizontal) for 5-sided scanning and industry-best barcode decoding—even with damaged or poorly printed labels. Designed with AI infrastructure in mind, it also supports optional neural processors and Coral TPU accelerators to enable loss prevention and item recognition directly on the device.

Loss prevention is further enhanced with ScaleSentry™, which detects produce placed outside the weighing area and alerts the cashier. The All-Weighs™ platter allows for weighing longer items using the bonnet surface, ensuring complete scan-and-weigh flexibility.

Designed with smooth, hygienic surfaces and capacitive touch buttons, the 9600i is easy to clean and sanitise, making it ideal for modern retail operations.
