The Magellan™ 9900i Medium Scanner from Datalogic is a next-generation in-counter imaging scanner purpose-built for high-volume retail checkouts and self-checkouts. Featuring a medium-length platter with fixed produce rail, ScaleSentry™ loss prevention, and adaptive scale readiness, it delivers powerful functionality without an integrated scale.

At its core is the QuadVision™ multi-camera system, driven by a high-performance IMX8 processor, delivering real-time decoding of 1D, 2D, and Digimarc® barcodes—regardless of condition. Future-ready and AI-capable, the 9900i supports integration of neural processors, TPU accelerators, and dual color cameras for on-device inference, video streaming, and item recognition.

Its 2.7” low-profile bonnet improves visibility, meets ADA compliance, and fits compactly into retail counters. ScaleSentry technology uses infrared sensors to detect misplaced produce, preventing under-weighing at checkout. While this configuration includes no integrated scale, it's adaptive scale-ready—fully compatible with Avery, Mettler Toledo, Bizerba, and other leading brands.

The included EU power brick and RS-232 WN cable support seamless integration into European POS systems.
