The Datalogic Magellan™ 9900i is the next evolution of high-performance in-counter scanner/scales, purpose-built for the future of retail with embedded AI capabilities. Designed with a low-profile 2.7” tower height, this model features a medium platter, fixed produce rail, and shelf mount design. It includes ScaleSentry™ infrared loss prevention technology, an All-Weighs™ scale platter, and a USB POT (Power over Terminal) cable for simplified installation.

Powered by QuadVision™ technology and a high-speed IMX8 multi-core processor, the 9900i uses four cameras to provide five-sided image capture with enhanced decoding for 1D, 2D, Digimarc®, and GS1 Digital Link barcodes. With optional AI-ready hardware such as neural processors, color cameras, and Coral TPUs, the scanner is designed to support machine learning-based product recognition and real-time video analytics. Its hygienic design includes capacitive touch buttons and smooth surfaces for easy cleaning—ideal for both assisted and self-checkout environments.
