The Magellan™ 9900i is Datalogic’s next-generation in-counter scanner/scale for high-throughput retail checkouts and self-checkout environments. This scanner/scale bundle features a medium-length (39.9 cm) shelf mount, fixed produce rail, and integrated ScaleSentry™ loss prevention—with EU-compliant dual interval/metric configuration, EU power brick, and USB Type A E/P cable included.

Powered by QuadVision™ imaging, the 9900i uses four high-resolution cameras (2 horizontal, 2 vertical) and an IMX8 multi-core processor to deliver rapid, reliable decoding—capturing five-sided images per scan, even for damaged or poorly printed barcodes.

The system is AI-ready, supporting optional integrated neural processors, Coral TPU acceleration, and color cameras for machine learning applications like produce recognition and video-based loss prevention—no cloud required.

The included ScaleSentry™ system detects misplacement of items on the platter using invisible infrared beams, preventing under-weighing and shrink at checkout. The All-Weighs™ scale platter also allows for accurate weighing of oversized produce items via the bonnet surface.

This preverified EU model is dual interval/metric calibrated, meeting regulatory standards and ready for integration. The scanner also supports GS1 Digital Link and Digimarc®, and features low 2.7” bonnet height for ADA compliance and improved customer visibility.
